SOTSP: HOP 369 with PSP and IRIS
2019-03-27T00:04:17 to 2019-03-27T03:13:37
Science Goal: To study the relationship of solar jets with solar wind using Parker Solar Probe
Program: Fast map, 45"x81", repeated every 20min
Target: Coronal Hole
xcen=168 ycen=-854
Instrument: SOTSP
HOP/JOP: 369
Description: Request to SOT: We would like to have SOT SP observations same as given in HOP 0332 if telemetry permits. If it exceeds the telemetry then we would like to have EIS and XRT observations along with IRIS. Referenced HOP 332: Request to SOT SOT participation is optional, but two possibilities are the following: 1) If a well-developed sunspot penumbra is included in the IRIS and EIS rasters, run a repeated dynamics mode raster (full resolution, no summing, 2.4 sec integration), with FOV approx. 20 x 60 or 20 x 80 arcseconds, wide enough to cover all of the inner penumbra and most of the outer penumbra on one side of the spot. An East-West ROI offset may be used to place the SP raster as desired on the penumbra. This should run at least 2 hours, telemetry permitting. 2) Run repeated fast maps covering the central portion of the IRIS and EIS rasters, with cadence of 10-20 minutes, similar to HOP 306. Referenced HOP 306: Request to SOT Medium-size raster scan with SP, with repetition rate of 20 minutes or so. SP 0x01A1 is a Fast Map with 45x81" FOV, that repeats every 20 minutes. This program uses 3.0 Gbits per day (with margin factor 1.05), and it may be edited to change the repetition interval to 15 minutes if telemetry allows, or longer if necessary. SP Main # 2, ID: 0x1a1 Fast map, 45"x81", repeated every 20min
