Description: The biggest active region since 1990, AR 12192, returned as AR 12209 about 1/3 of the original size. Major flares in this region were notoriously non-eruptive, and it has not even produced M-class flares since Nov 17. This one is only C2.5. It started in the trailing part of the AR with an ejection, which looked like trapped by large-scale magnetic field within the region.
