Description: The GOES classified X 1.6 Flare encompasses most of the image and is visible in both 1400 A and 2796 A. The flares starts with two separate ribbons (one in the center and another in the top right), which presumably connect off the image during peak intensity. The central ribbon crosses the slit soon after formation and remains on the slit for the rest of the observation.
