Description: The comet, previously seen by LASCO on its way to the Sun, travels across the solar disk, what is clearly oberved in 171A. It starts off at the NW limb and travels towards the central meridian, disappearing in about 20 minutes. It seems to trigger transient coronal brightening close to the limb. Further LASCO observation are not suggestive of the comment reappearing on the other side of the limb.
