2016-08-14T04:20:22 --> 2016-08-14T05:39:34
The B2.5 flare occurred in a region without NOAA number, accompanying a minor eruoption. Around the same time, a jet-like activity is seen in a region far to the west, also without NOAA number.

2016-08-14T19:25:10 --> 2016-08-14T20:25:10
The C1.1 flare was impulsive, associated with an explosive motion and open up of the overlying coronal structures - but no CME. The eruption was immediately followed by loop oscillations.

2016-08-13T17:15:34 --> 2016-08-13T19:59:34
A quite big eruption that became a nice flux-rope CME (http://cdaw.gsfc.nasa.gov/images/soho/lasco_ql/2016/08/13/20160813_200006_lasc2rdf_ql.png). The source region was on the farside.

2016-08-12T15:00:06 --> 2016-08-12T23:00:06
This is seen only in difference images in 171 A, but it is clearly an eruption that can be easily overlooked. The coronagraph counterpart (e.g. http://cdaw.gsfc.nasa.gov/images/soho/lasco_ql/2016/08/12/20160812_233607_lasc2rdf_ql.png) is a slow outflow (note the NE direction).

2016-08-12T18:10:10 --> 2016-08-12T19:10:10
This eruption is not bright enough to appear in intensity images and we need difference images to see it. It became an irregular-shaped CME as in http://cdaw.gsfc.nasa.gov/images/soho/lasco_ql/2016/08/12/20160812_200006_lasc2rdf_ql.png. The source region was probably AR 12572, which was around W120 around the time of the eruption.

2016-08-21T06:01:35 --> 2016-08-21T06:48:38
An AR prominence on west limb has a growing loop extending over time toward the south.

2016-08-20T18:06:35 --> 2016-08-20T19:23:36
Another minor flare B1.x (on GOES) around 18:47 from AR 12578 during this BBSO coordination under HOP 320. This flare is stronger than the previous on at 17:23 in the same region and clearly shows two ribbons. One ribbon under the slit.

Minor flare B1.x (on GOES) around 17:23 from AR 12578 during this BBSO coordination under HOP 320. Elongated flare ribbons under the slit.

2016-08-12T13:00:06 --> 2016-08-12T16:10:06
The filament apparently lay above three active regions. The eruption was noted only in 304 A images. No CME in LASCO.

2016-08-20T10:29:30 --> 2016-08-20T13:49:54
Minor flare (< B) in AR 12578 during this HOP 306 (IRIS only) scan. The AR filament at the location of the flare also gradually faded over hours toward the end of this obs.

2016-08-20T03:10:27 --> 2016-08-20T03:26:40
On-disk coronal rain into sunspot captured in this AR 12578, HOP 322 Fuxian Lake/Hida coordination. Slit on the rain in the later portion of the raster scan (right-hand side).

2016-08-19T17:56:15 --> 2016-08-19T18:32:19
Around 18:15 UT, Aug 19, dynamic flows with intense brightening along curved paths with sharp turns. The slit only captured the eastern (left-hand side) end of the flows.

2016-08-19T08:28:34 --> 2016-08-19T10:19:04
B1 flare (two-ribbon) straddling the boundary between AR 12574/12577. This is first flare caught by IRIS this week so far. Slit covered most of the flaring region and at least one ribbon. There was also many UV bursts/brightening within this obs. near the flare site.

2016-08-19T04:37:47 --> 2016-08-19T06:38:24
A nice AR prominence on NW limb showing oscillating horizontal threads that are almost parallel to the slit. This would be a nice data set for studying wave propagation along the threads, with good slit coverage over a long distance range.

2016-08-18T18:53:36 --> 2016-08-18T20:16:40
UV burst to the left of the slit, and dynamic flows under the slit during the HOP 317 BBSO coordination of AR 12577

2016-08-18T08:12:07 --> 2016-08-18T11:14:42
AR prominence exhibited wavy horizontal threads, and some of them give a floating sense and travel upward. Roll=90, so the bottom of the slit was nicely located on the disk for best absolute wavelength calibration.
