2015-12-20T05:24:06 --> 2015-12-20T12:32:06

2015-12-20T14:48:06 --> 2015-12-20T22:40:06
Fast eruption from a small AR nearing the W limb.

2015-12-20T14:20:06 --> 2015-12-20T16:52:06
Activation of a QS filament-like configuration.

2015-12-20T21:56:06 --> 2015-12-21T00:00:06
Eruption from (just behind) the E limb.

2015-12-20T07:52:06 --> 2015-12-20T21:08:06
Thermal evolution of off-disk loops.

2015-12-20T02:44:06 --> 2015-12-20T08:56:06
A set of loops over the E limb, above a region still behind the disk, rapidly reconfigures, as in an eruption, but without an obvious eruptive signature.

Movie

2015-12-20T00:32:06 --> 2015-12-20T03:40:06
Loop oscillations in an AR approaching the E limb; no flare or eruption is seen, but high loops oscillate clearly.

2015-12-16T11:30:34 --> 2015-12-16T18:00:34
Although the erupting filament was not unambiguously identified, the post-eruption ribbons and arcades were seen to form gradually. It is likely that this eruption also contributed to the geomagnetic storm during 19-21 December.

2015-12-16T07:00:06 --> 2015-12-16T10:00:06
An eruption local to AR 12468 opened up trans-equatorial loops, causing dimming near disk center. This was associated with a C6.6 flare. Dimming was seen in an extended area (See https://twitter.com/halocme/status/677063188777598976). Consistent with the prediction, this eruption seems to have arrived at L1 on December 19.

2015-12-15T20:00:06 --> 2015-12-16T00:00:06
The filament shows dynamic motions duroing the eruption. Overall, this may be a confined eruption.

2015-12-15T13:40:10 --> 2015-12-15T15:16:10
This is very similar to the previous events from the same part (the plage in the following plarity region) of AR 12470. The ejection seems to be along a closed structure.

2015-12-14T13:50:22 --> 2015-12-14T15:20:22
Like the previous event, the ejection took place in a closed structure. In 304 A images, the material is seen to fall back.

2015-12-14T13:05:22 --> 2015-12-14T13:59:22
It seems that the material was injected from one leg of a large-scale structure. The ejection looks confined.

2015-12-14T10:40:10 --> 2015-12-14T11:40:10
Two jets occurred nearly simultaneously, but they may not be physically linked.

2015-12-14T00:45:34 --> 2015-12-14T02:15:34
The eruption seems to have started locally, successively involving the overlying structures.

2015-12-13T08:15:34 --> 2015-12-13T11:45:34
There were stages of activation of a low-lying filament before the front formed and started a fast rise around 10:00, about 30 minutes before the peak of the associated C5.3 flare.

2015-12-12T03:55:10 --> 2015-12-12T07:25:10
This eruption may not be explosive, but multple sets of post-eruption arcades are seen, reflectibg the magnetic structure of the active region complex.

2015-12-11T16:40:10 --> 2015-12-11T18:00:10
This filament eruption gives an impression that it involved a counter-clockwise rotation, perhaps reflecting the helicity of the active region.
