2014-10-11T02:10:07 --> 2014-10-12T12:40:07
NOAA AR 12187 emerges as it rotates across the east limb. The emergence of magnetic flux drives intense atmospheric responses. These include surges at the periphery of the emerging flux region and eruptions resulting from magnetic reconnection.

2014-10-09T00:00:07 --> 2014-10-09T15:20:07
Magnetic reconnection between neighboring loops in this compact emerging flux region leads to intermittent flashes of energy release.

2014-10-09T00:00:07 --> 2014-10-09T15:20:07
Magnetic reconnection between neighboring loops in this compact emerging flux region leads to intermittent flashes of energy release.

2014-10-12T13:20:07 --> 2014-10-12T23:50:07
Coronal loops off the west limb are seen to open up, indicating an eruption occurred. The lack of on-disk signatures (e.g. footpoint brightening) suggests the source region is behind the limb.

2014-10-11T18:40:07 --> 2014-10-11T21:10:07
An intense heating event (likely magnetic reconnection) leads to the brightening of a bundle of closed loops and the ejection of material to the northeast side of the AR.

2014-10-10T15:40:07 --> 2014-10-11T00:00:07
A long post-eruption arcade is left in the wake of the eruption. The initial arcade loops are sheared and roughly aligned in the general direction of the polarity inversion line (PIL). As the eruption progresses, higher reaching arcade loops that are more penpendicular to the PIL appear.

2014-10-15T02:00:07 --> 2014-10-15T14:12:07
The corona surrounding a compact active region reconfigures in what has all the signatures of an eruption (including the footpoints of post-eruption loops), but no filament is involved, and no obvious high coronal signatures are seen.

2014-10-14T18:08:03 --> 2014-10-14T22:12:03
A large eruption, association with a long-duration M-class flare, from just beyond the E limb, with long-lived bright post-eruption loops, 'tadpoles', and strong deformation of a large section of the surrounding corona seen in high off-limb loops.

2014-10-14T11:40:03 --> 2014-10-14T18:00:03
Reconfiguration of the corona around a compact active region, possbly responding to a nearby filament eruption in the hour preceding this event.

2014-10-03T02:20:03 --> 2014-10-03T05:56:03
A filament/prominence near the E limb activates, rising, then as hot material forms, mostly draining in a mixture of hot and cool rain from a nearly radial configuration.

2014-10-02T10:40:03 --> 2014-10-02T21:20:03
