2012-10-07T18:00:04 --> 2012-10-08T15:00:04
A series of off-limb eruptions seen in 131 and 193 channels of AIA. The 131 emission [in red] is high both during the onset of the eruptions as well as when the post-eruption arcades are cooling, due to the fact that the response function for the AIA 131 channel has peaks both near 10 MK and 1 MK.

2012-10-06T12:00:03 --> 2012-10-07T20:00:03
Liftoff of fairly long polar crown filament, followed by post-eruption ribbons and bright arcades

2012-10-12T00:10:03 --> 2012-10-12T01:50:03
The lack of on-disk footpoint brightenings following the gravitational descent of material along the legs of the filament implies that the footpoints are anchored on the far side of the Sun.

2012-10-10T05:20:03 --> 2012-10-10T08:10:03
The following attributes suggest an emerging flux region just behind the limb: 1. Very dynamic loops structures, 2. Frequent surges (optically thick material) in the foreground of the EUV loops, and 3. A localized brightening, possibly due to reconnection event(s). Surges are commonly found in the periphery of emerging flux regions as the emerging magnetic field impinges on pre-existing neighbouring field. The squeezing of the field could squirt dense material into a surge.

2012-10-10T13:45:03 --> 2012-10-10T15:25:03
A small eruption in the neighbourhood of AR 11583 leads to an impulsive reconnection event that forms a coronal jet. The material spewed out by the jet follows a set of closed field lines so that most of the material sseems to be trapped in the corona and/or is forced to return to lower layers of the atmosphere.

2012-10-10T10:50:03 --> 2012-10-10T16:00:03
This filament is unsual in that it is aligned in a roughly north-south direction. It is observed to evolve and fade away in 304. Just after the end of this movie SDO does a cruciform maneuver.

2012-10-10T05:10:03 --> 2012-10-10T11:40:03
A void in 171 and 211 seems to be ejected out of the corona. Evidence of a gentle ejection of magnetic field?

2012-10-08T23:00:03 --> 2012-10-09T01:50:03
The filament eruption (see nearby reported event) associated with this event seems to create a magnetic bubble in the corona that is unstable and eventually ejects. In this sense this event may be a two-step process.

2012-10-08T23:00:03 --> 2012-10-09T01:30:03
A small filament eruption from behind the limb leads to a flare, and possibly to the sudden appearance of filamentary material in loops north of the erupting region.
