2012-04-28T09:00:04 --> 2012-04-28T14:00:04
A filament erupts in SW and results in two-ribbon brightening in the chromosphere/low corona seen at 211.

2012-04-27T07:20:04 --> 2012-04-27T12:00:04

2012-04-26T16:40:04 --> 2012-04-27T16:10:04
A polar crown prominence inside a high-latitude coronal cavity diminishes in size by mass drainage and is eventually depleted in one day. This is likely a result of imbalance between mass supply (by condensation, see e.g., Liu, Berger, Low 2012, ApJ Lett, http://adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2012ApJ...745L..21L) and drainage. Note that the prominence does not erupt, nor does the coronal cavity (at least up to the end of the observation time window). Would this have implications for CME initiation models where mass unloading plays a role?

2012-04-23T17:00:04 --> 2012-04-23T19:00:04
The propagation is mostly southward, and the front seems to encounter several active regions. The one toward southeast appears to be a secondary wave starting at an AR. The associated CME is unimpressive.

2012-04-24T07:00:04 --> 2012-04-24T09:00:04
This propagating front iis also associated with a partial halo CME observed by LASCO.

2012-04-26T00:40:04 --> 2012-04-26T03:20:04
A very pretty surge with much of the material falling back down.

2012-04-25T10:00:04 --> 2012-04-25T11:50:04
Some energetic event leads to a surge of material into a magnetic fan.

2012-04-24T06:50:04 --> 2012-04-24T09:20:04
THIS is a tornado In this filament eruption, the filament being launched is seen to expand and unwind over Alfvenic time scales. This event is visually reminiscent of magnetically driven jets in MHD simulations of accretion disks.

2010-11-15T14:20:12 --> 2010-11-15T14:59:48
Just to fill in a gap of the knowledgebase... This "coronal" wave seems to be associated with a minor electron event at L1.

2012-04-23T13:00:04 --> 2012-04-23T17:30:04
In this region of cross-equatorial reconnection, there seems to be an abundance of coronal condensation in locations that may act as favorable sites of reconnection between different domains of connectivity. Perhaps turbulent reconnection creates plasmoids which trap material and facilitate coronal condensation?

2012-04-21T08:30:04 --> 2012-04-21T11:10:04
This filament seems to lift off at first but then appears stuck. The filament material also fades away.

2012-04-21T05:00:04 --> 2012-04-21T08:40:04
Just as this filament erupts, the moon passes by and occults the southwestern quadrant of the solar disk.

2012-04-20T13:20:04 --> 2012-04-23T03:20:04
Some event from behind the limb seems to inject a large quantity of mass into the region that forms a quiescent filament. The filamentary material is clearly visible in 304 (red/orange). The morphology in the 171 channel (yellow) indicates a coronal cavity above the filament. This cavity+filament system is eventually destablized and launches off.

The footpoints of this filament eruption span a latitude range of almost 45 degrees.
