2012-01-15T17:30:04 --> 2012-01-16T00:00:04
Crazy (rotational?) motions in a West limb filament seen in absorption. Hard to imagine how the magnetic field could cause these motions....much easier to believe that huge pressure gradients are at work.

2012-01-15T00:55:04 --> 2012-01-15T06:40:04
Moderate to large eruption apparently behind the Western limb.

2012-01-15T00:00:04 --> 2012-01-16T00:00:04
Large coronal cavity and prominence on NE limb. Prominence shows very active flows. Beginning of period shows 171 prominence "horns" outlining concave field lines in cavity.

2012-01-14T00:00:04 --> 2012-01-15T00:00:04
Complex system of interacting large filaments near West limb. Eruption in part of Northern filament fails to disrupt the entire structure, with the remaining portion seeming to "climb" up the post-flare loop arcade left by the eruption. This eruption then activates the Southern filament significantly.

2012-01-14T21:45:04 --> 2012-01-15T00:00:04
Small blowout from minor active region. Shows interesting coronal dimming as blast wave advances Eastward.

2012-01-14T19:45:04 --> 2012-01-15T00:00:04
Confined eruption from small active region bowls over a nearby filament, vaporizing it in the process. The vaporized filament detritus appears to spiral northward before crashing into the chromosphere in several disparate locations.

2012-01-14T00:00:04 --> 2012-01-15T00:00:04
Long narrow transequatorial coronal hole (visible on previous days as well...).

2012-01-13T00:00:04 --> 2012-01-14T00:00:04
Moderate coronal rain event from active region behind W limb.

2012-01-13T02:30:04 --> 2012-01-13T18:10:04
Large filament in polar-crown NW quadrant activates and shows rapid counteflowing motions.

Movie

2012-01-13T04:30:04 --> 2012-01-14T00:00:04
Moderate sized flux emergerence event in plage.

2012-01-13T00:00:04 --> 2012-01-14T00:00:04
Large filament in NW activates and shows large counterstreaming flows with brightening in 304.

2012-01-13T11:30:04 --> 2012-01-14T00:00:04
Small emerging flux event in quiet Sun.

2012-01-13T14:10:04 --> 2012-01-14T00:00:04
Small filament in quiet Sun region erupts with a very bright two-ribbon flare and subsequent post-flare loop arcade.

2012-01-13T00:00:04 --> 2012-01-13T12:30:04
Single filament erupts in two places in sequence. A section of the filament still remains even after two fairly large eruptions.

2012-01-12T06:14:04 --> 2012-01-12T17:08:04
A faint eruption (visible in 171A on the limb) triggers a spray surge which in its turn triggers swirling motions of a nearby filament. From this line of sight it seems it makes a few rotations in a horizontal plane a it it was running in circles chasing its own tail.

2012-01-12T19:22:04 --> 2012-01-13T00:00:04
Large filament takes off northwards; both footpoints appear to have small filaments on their own, which persist after the main eruption.

2012-01-12T00:08:04 --> 2012-01-12T02:32:04
Two consequtive small flares in two nearby ARs - B-class and C-class respectively. Each produces a spray surge and the second one is rather large. What is suggestive of coupling is the fact that these two ARs produced several couples of small flares, close in time, the westmost AR flaring first.

2012-01-11T10:02:04 --> 2012-01-11T12:46:04
Large-scale faint structures in quiescent corona respond to a sequence of about four small flare-like brightenings; this sequence "propagates" in eastwards direction across almost the entire disk from the top right to the top left on the screen.
