Description: IRIS observes three flares (C5.1, C9.7, and X1.0) in AR 12192, which was the largest AR since November 1990. The flares occurred in order of increasing intensity with approximately an hour between events. The lower intensity flares mostly miss the slit, however, the X1.0 flare does cross the slit. Most of the X1.0 flare's evolution occurs off the lower left corner of the observation, however, some of the brightening propagates slowly in the lower left corner. Both 1300 Å and 2796 Å show the flare activity; however, 2796 Å also shows oscillations in the coronal hole. Finally, the spectrum shows a strong increase in continuum emission after peak intensity in the X1.0 flare.
