Description: IRIS observes a GOES C1.1 class flare in profile. Initially, the flare forms a loop shape with a linear structure protruding near the loops center. During the flare's flux peak, the flare excites pockets of material above the solar surface. As the flare decays, it breaks into two components. One component produces a fan like structure, while the other component forms a loop.
