Science Goal: CORE: Joint Observation of the Solar Corona between Hinode EIS and NAOJ Norikura Observatory for nonthermal line broadening in the coronal emission
Program: H lc, CaH, G-b Full FOV 2x2, 2 min
Target: Active Region
xcen=930 ycen=-99
Instrument: SOT
HOP/JOP: 10
Description: We continue to track AR 10963 as it crosses the west limb for the entire day except for the usual 4 synoptics. This is also HOP10 with Norikura Observatory. The primary SOT objective is high cadence prominence observations. The program is primarily Ca H and H alpha pseudo DG's at +/- 0.41A. This H alpha mode only produces clean DG's over the limb since it uses a tuning trick that mixes off band continuum that contaminates the signals on the disk. But the prominence observations will be unaffected. The umbra of the main sunspot is predicted to cross the limb at 7:30 UT on 20-July-2007, a few hours before this plan begins. Note that there are no SP observations in this plan. We are still in eclipse season so the observations are interrupted every orbit. 5. 20-July 18:33 - 23:02 UT, AR 10963 FG 14 (ID 0xf8) (see above) 6. 20-July 23:29 - 00:30 UT, AR 10963 FG 2 (ID 0x100) H alpha lc 328""x164"" Ca II H, G band, 217""x108"" cadence: 120s
