Description: EXTERNAL: [sot_co:37403] [sot_co:] MM#003 Major Flare Watch Dear Collaborators, Solar activity is at a moderate level. Target NOAA 13234 grew further in terms of spot area and number of spots since the last message, and increased in complexity to be classed as a beta-delta/E-type sunspot group. NOAA 13234 continued to produce C-class events in the period. Although the rate and magnitude of flaring has decreased, the Major Flare Watch continues on NOAA 13234 for another 24 hours. Additional M-class activity is possible over the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA 13234 on 24-Feb-2023 at 16:30 UT is: N25E24 , ( -360", 508" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
