AR 12824 produced this eruption even though it consisted of a lone leading spot that seemed to be on the decay. The eruption had global effects such as a coronal wave and dimming regions both over the limb and on the disk. The associated shock was responsible for the first GOES S1 radiation storm.

The southern part of AR 12824 showed frequent activities. At the beginning of this movie, we can see an ejecta from this sunspot, which is related to a C-class flare.
