2017-04-11T07:20:09 --> 2017-04-11T20:10:09
A filament in the quiet sun activates, lifts and causes a bubble-like shape around it in the 2MK Corona (211 Angstroem channel of AIA). Some very remote brightenings seem to follow this failed eruption.

2017-04-10T18:00:09 --> 2017-04-10T20:28:09
A solar flare was observed near the east limb. It seems that this flare did not associate with a CME.

2017-04-11T07:04:09 --> 2017-04-11T18:24:09
A filament eruption was observed near the west limb. Before the eruption, the filament is only visible at the nothern part. The eruption leaded to visible changes along a long channel extended into the southern polar coronal hole and triggered brightenings in a small bipole region.

2017-04-09T17:20:09 --> 2017-04-10T11:40:09
A quiet-Sun filament eruption was observed near the east limb.

2017-04-07T01:30:09 --> 2017-04-07T17:50:09
A sudden change of coronal loops was observed near the west limb. Possibly related to an eruption behind the limb.

2017-04-06T10:20:09 --> 2017-04-06T16:10:09
Possible sympathetic activities from the same active region near the west limb. A small filament eruption was first observed near the edge of the active region, followed by a large solar flare/CME eruption.

2017-04-06T10:20:09 --> 2017-04-06T16:10:09

2017-04-08T03:40:09 --> 2017-04-08T10:20:09
A slow plasma blob release was observed at the east limb.

Movie

2017-04-03T13:52:09 --> 2017-04-03T17:24:09
A solar flare/CME eruption was observed near the west limb. The eruption disturbed surrounding coronal loops. Part of the filament materials were observed falling back to the Sun after the eruption.

2017-04-03T13:52:09 --> 2017-04-03T17:24:09

2017-03-24T14:38:53 --> 2017-03-24T18:04:15
A small loop system next to a sunspot repeatedly brightens over the observing period. SDO/AIA movies show signatures of plasma eruption from the loops. The slit did not cross this event, however, the slit caught several other smaller UV bursts.

2017-03-15T21:14:04 --> 2017-03-15T21:44:34
A short-lived surge in loop shape in the polar region, a bit unusual for activity at this high latitude.

2017-03-18T18:45:22 --> 2017-03-18T19:51:46
A minor (micro) flare in a region within the SE limb (not a named AR). It's one of the few "flares" during this VERY quiet week.

2017-03-20T23:41:48 --> 2017-03-21T01:01:28
A minor, two-ribbon flare occurred in the region (not a named AR) within the SE limb. It was near the right edge of the SJI FOV, not under the slit though.

2017-03-18T23:50:33 --> 2017-03-19T01:21:32
A beautiful two-ribbon flare from a network region within the SE limb. Ribbons extend in the north-south direction, spreading toward east and west with time.

2017-03-17T00:13:14 --> 2017-03-17T02:33:29
Short-lived, horizontal prominence threads exhibit wavy motions, suggestive of the presence of Alfvenic waves (similar to the Hinode detection of Alfven waves in prominences by Okamoto et al. 2007)

Movie

2017-03-14T05:40:44 --> 2017-03-14T09:52:45
IRIS slit missed the main body of the prominence to the Southwest (lower-right corner of FOV), but caught an interesting part of the coronal rain/prominence in the middle of FOV, where coronal rain material appears to float and travel upward, and at the same time, exhibits transverse oscillations, suggestive of the presence of MHD waves.

Movie

2017-03-17T04:47:57 --> 2017-03-17T10:23:16
A long-duration coverage of a prominence at southeast limb, showing dynamic flows. The slit covered most of the prominence body and its upper extension toward the south.
