Although there were magnetic field concentrations, the sunspot was recognized only on 5 May 2017. Since then several B-class flares were produced. It appears that there was an eruption on 5 May 2017, between 08:30 and 10:30, woth notable dimming in 171 A, but no CME was associated.

A rapid growth started early on 2 May 2017 due to the new flux to the south of the original bipole. This region did not produce major (e.g. >C1) flares or CMEs.

This flare may be called eruptive by some, because a large area to the north seems to have been impacted. But there is no way it was associated with a CME even in the limb view. There may have been disturbances due to MHD waves but it seems that no flux rope was involved, hence no CME.

Continued surge-like activities came from two regions near the limb. It is not clear whether the eruptions only delineated closed structures, or how the two regions were linked.

The pre-eruption filament was not clearly seen, but a moving dark feature may have been a filament eruption. The event was captured only in 304 A channel, without showing clear flare ribbons or post eruption arcades

This eruption was associated with a B3.0 flare from the same region (without NOAA AR number) as the earlier B9.9 flare. The eruption itself was weaker, but the coronal wave is clearly seen to propagate counterclockwise along the limb in difference images especially in 193 A channel.
