2012-05-18T12:00:04 --> 2012-05-18T17:00:04
Over this five hour period, the cavity becomes less noticeable. Is this due just to projection effect? Not much action is seen to come from lower down.

2012-05-18T14:20:25 --> 2012-05-18T15:10:25
Although we certainly note outward motions, they are confined. Therefore this C1.3 flare has no global effects and not regarded as eruptive (no CME).

2012-05-18T11:00:04 --> 2012-05-18T12:20:04
This one is again most readily seen at 211 A, but 171 A images do show a mini filament in absorption and a possibly footpoint brightening. Therefore the source region is on the visible side.

2012-05-18T06:50:24 --> 2012-05-18T08:00:24
They perhaps emanate from backside regions. Pronounced in the 211 A channel almost without any signatures at 171 A or 30a A.

2012-05-18T04:40:12 --> 2012-05-18T06:10:12
This event results in dimming south of AR 1482, but the the filament eruption was toward west and north (in the plane of the sky).

2012-05-27T02:00:04 --> 2012-05-27T06:40:04
The tall-standing bright loops disappear after the eruption. Instead, one finds a post-eruption arcade closer to the core of the AR.

2012-05-29T20:20:04 --> 2012-05-30T03:50:04
This filament eruption occurs simultaneously with the one in the northeastern limb.

2012-05-29T20:20:04 --> 2012-05-30T03:50:04
This filament eruption occurs simultaneously with the one in the northwestern limb.

2012-05-30T01:40:04 --> 2012-05-30T03:20:04
The rise of the filament material is halted and the material drains back down to the footpoints of the relaxed magnetic structure.

2012-05-30T01:40:04 --> 2012-05-30T03:20:04

2012-05-29T17:00:04 --> 2012-05-29T18:30:04
Much of the material apparently drains back toward the footpoints of the surge.

2012-05-28T14:55:04 --> 2012-05-28T17:27:34
This filament has footpoints behind the limb since there is a lack of footpoint brightening in the EUV images.

2012-05-26T08:36:04 --> 2012-05-26T11:16:04
Eruption from small AR near E limb

2012-05-26T20:16:04 --> 2012-05-26T21:47:04
Over-the-limb eruption with strong loop oscillations excited in another region, of which the base also lies just beyond the W limb.

2012-05-26T20:16:04 --> 2012-05-26T21:47:04

Filament eruption

2012-05-24T00:00:04 --> 2012-05-25T00:00:04
A filament eruption on the W limb happens synchronously with an eruption in a smallish AR on the E hemisphere.

2012-05-24T10:16:04 --> 2012-05-24T14:52:04

2012-05-24T16:04:04 --> 2012-05-25T00:00:04
Filament eruption

2012-05-17T02:33:04 --> 2012-05-17T05:06:04
As a prominence lifts up and reconnects with the surrounding field, passing through an upside down V-shaped structure, the inner edge of the "V" develops a bright front in 171A.
